The GVAHEC was recognized as a partner with Phoenix Community College at a recent reception sponsored by the League of Innovations. The League of Innovations recognizes programs that are innovative and promote education. The GVAHEC has partnered with Phoenix College and Phoenix workforce connections to support students who are currently employed in agencies located in undeserved areas, to advance the skills of these employees towards the completion of a Medical Assistant. Although this program would not be considered ""high tech"" it certainly is ""high touch"" boasting a 100% retention and completion with perfect attendance.

As a result additional programs such as phlebotomy and nursing assistant are being investigated.
