Health Related Professions Loan Repayment and Scholarship Programs
The Arizona AHEC can connect you with opportunities that can assist you in paying off the loans you’ve incurred during your time in school:
Arizona Rural Private Primary Care Provider Loan Repayment Program: for more information. This program provides an incentive for primary care providers and dentists to provide ambulatory primary care services in a rural private practice located in an AzMUA (Arizona Medically Underserved Area). Program funds are used to repay qualifying educational loans in return for primary care service provision.
National Health Service Corps: website
This is a federal service exchange program that provides incentives for primary care providers and dentists to work in a NHSC approved health professional shortage areas. Recipients must agree to a work/service commitment in a designated health professional shortage area.
